Based on the evidence that we have in our database, race appears to be an important determinant of admissions at many colleges, which may help explain why your chances are better than you'd think.

Of course, there is error inherent in any prediction.

Thank You for responding would the race factor explain why my chances for Pitzer and Pomona are higher than UC Irvine since UC's cannot consider race in admissions? and can u give me a more accurate chancing for Pomona?

I think that you are correct with regards to the different racial preferences of the UCs vs Pomona and other private colleges.

I'm not sure what you mean by more accurate chances for Pomona. If I could make the models more accurate, I would.

I thought the 100% of admission was a glitch or something. I did not think race was such a big factor that it would increase my chances to 100%

If you look through the accepted/rejected applicant lists, you can see that all of the Af-Am and Hispanic applicants have been accepted. Worth looking through that to see if you feel like your stats are similar. Best regards.

My stats are a little lower than some of the accepted applicants but I'm definitely going to give Pomona a shot. Thank You for clearing up this issue

What are the Med school acceptance rates for Pomona?

1 point by James   3 years ago

Ooh, now that is a tough question. I suspect that they only disclose that to current students.

Their website claims a high acceptance rate but there are no numbers to back it up. I know that the numbers shouldn't affect decisions, but it would be a nice reassurance :)

I think these stats are erred in some way. It's impossible for someone with my stats to get an 85.6% chance at Pomona. Airiek has an extremely better academic record than my own.

I don't think this (or pitzer) are accurate for some reason.
