4.4 GPA. 2130 SAT. 730 Literature, 720 Biology, 710 Math II; SAT IIs. 9 AP classes, two honors. Chanced at 90%+ from parchment and REJECTED from SLO's ME program today.

It doesn't take applied majors into account at all.

You are not the first i have heard this happen to with this major. ME is the most rigorous and hardest Engineering major to get into.

I hear they hardly care about ECs. The app didn't even have us provide a list of our ECs. Not sure if that helps or hurts.

congrats on the acceptance! i much prefer it when we are wrong in that direction (ie the computer predictions rejection but you actually get accepted). should help make the predictions better for students next year :)
