Someone chance me!
hi guys ! well i have like a predicted of around 40 points IB. And my SAT I is not very great 1800 but SAT Math - 790 and Physics - 780. I m planning on taking ACT and guessing that i will score around 29 - 32. PLease chance me ! i m looking for engineering major.
NGO WORK
- Formed a NGO in 2009. The NGO is successfully registered in 2010 and is running several different projects.
- Fundraisers are organized every year in different forms like fun fair, food and shopping week or different speakers are called.
- The money collected in the fundraisers instead of just donating it somewhere we ourselves go and teach the students different things. There are many activities, which we have conducted from the money which is collected from the fundraiser.
- We conducted a one-day fun school for the underprivileged children. We went through the books of the state board and after consulting the teachers we decided to conduct around 13 – 15 easy to do experiments and the unique thing was we made the experiment kits and then distributed the kits to the children. We taught the children how to do the experiments and then the children themselves did the experiment. It was fun to teach them and watch them do these experiments with so much energy and curiosity. We did this project in 7 different rural government schools. Our main aim behind this was to develop interest for science in the children and also to make sure that the concepts are clear in their minds.
- Also conducted health check up camps (check up by doctors) for children free of cost. The children were checked up by the doctors and were also provided proper medication. After the check up , we gave small lectures on different things like health hygiene, different diseases caused due to bad condition of living, different dangerous diseases and its symptoms. The health camp was successful and we got a good response from that,
- We are now running a Sunday Science School. This school is basically for the students who are interested in Science and want to learn something new and perform different experiments, which are out of syllabus. For this activity we charge the students with a small amount which is required for the apparatus. All the experiments were selected by us and it was also reviewed by Professor of senior college. Students every Sunday come and perform those experiments. The experiments are like solar car, wind mill, magnet magic, solar cooker etc.
- We also conducted like a survey in rural Maharashtra in which we went to many houses and enquired about the need, the difficulties which the people are facing there. Then based on this survey we provided them different things like blankets, Torches, Kettles, Sweaters etc.
- We also conducted a camp in which we taught people about how to go about selling different things in the market. We informed them about different demand and supply in the market. Also gave them information that which plants should they plant and in which whether (conducted the expert before telling them). Then after that we kept a lecture from a professional in the field to inform them about the different whether patterns and also which crops should be planted and he also informed them about the use of fertilizers and also the use of insecticides and pesticides. The aim of this project was to educate the people about what to plant and when to plant and also make them aware about the latest technology and different fertilizers.

International swim meet – freestyle 50mts – 1st position - Breaststroke 50mts – 3rd position 8. International swimming championship (Srilanka) – Freestyle 50 mts. – 2nt position - Freestyle 100mts – 2nd position - Breaststroke 50mts – 3rd position - Freestyle 25mts – 1st position 9. Interschool aquatic champion ship - Freestyle rely 25mts – 1st position - Freestyle 50mts – 1st position 10. Also awarded the best all round performance in academics and other curricular activities 2010 – 2011.
- Was part of a National level Drama Group, who performed nationally and internationally.

School Sports captain 2009 – 2010. Organised and participated in different sports competitions. Organization of different interschool competitions, inviting different schools, managing all the events and also organization of inter house events.
School Head boy 2010 – 2011 had to do different things like organization of school book fair, school science fair, school annual function, different competitions, interschool quizzes etc.
- Formed a company Web Magiks. My two brothers and I formed the company in 2010. It is a kind of Software Company, which makes websites, different software’s depending upon the need of the customer and we are also planning to go into the field of hardware now. The company has around 15 – 20 clients for which we make websites, different management software’s and also different things they need. The money that company makes is then again used for the social work of the NGO.

Internship:
Company – sargam pvt. Ltd (2011)– worked under the CEO of SARGAM for 1 month. The experience was really good. I had to do different things like making project reports, analyzing different things and working under him also gave me a good experience about how to make decisions and also how to handle people. The internship was unpaid.
Company – Water park Wet n Joy (2011) – Worked with the core team of the theme park. Leant a lot of different things like how to start a project, project reports, how to make different contracts, how to go about foreign venture, analyzing the need and demand of people and also making different deals and many things.
Magazine Learn More (2010) – Worked under the chief editor of a magazine. The experience was unique learnt a lot of different things like selecting, writing and also verifying different articles. Also how to find different writers and contact them. Also learnt about the setting, layout of the magazine (theme, unique layout every time). Also learnt about the marketing and distribution because it has 70,000 copies per month so also learnt a lot about distribution.
