Chances for getting into Georgetown University?

2 points by Clarn13   1 year ago

I am a Junior.. My GPA as of now is a 3.94 (unweighted) or 4.46 (weighted)

I have taken the SAT and I plan on taking it again along with the ACT in order to improve my score. My score was a 2000. PSAT was a 200 in the 96th percentile.

My class rank is 44 out of 573.* My high school is known for it's academic rigor

I am a member of National Honor Society

I am a captain of our Girls Varsity Basketball Team

I am also a member of the Girls Varsity Track Team

I was involved in marching and concert band my freshmen year and played clarinet for 4 years.

I am an Honors Student

I am a member of my churches' youth leadership council

I lived overseas in 5 different countries for 9 years before moving to the US, and I have been going overseas every year since freshman year for mission trips and service projects.

If I apply to Georgetown, I would love to attend the Nursing school and potentially major in International Health.

Thanks so much for any input!!

If you apply early decision (ED), your chances should be quite good..

However, if you apply regular decision (RD), you likely need to boost your SAT to 2100 or higher and/or score a 32 or higher on your ACT composite to be considered a strong candidate.
