Is the issue that the transcript isn't finalized until the 6th? If that's the case, they probably can't legally send it as "final" until then. You should try to reach someone at the school district office (not the high school) to see if you can get them to fax your college a letter with a signature that gives your grades and explains the reason for the delay. If your college won't honor that, at least you've opened a conversation. If nothing else, you may be able to get your official transcript faxed on the 6th rather than sent snail mail.
