Liberal arts colleges probably look at the scores differently than universities with an engineering or technical focus. The ACT science score is looked at in STEM majors. However, looking at the college guides, the only ACT break out reported is: math and english (not reading).

Note: Admissions people tend to discount ACT results in favor of SAT. One published study I saw states that a "solid" 32 ACT composite is, on a percentile basis, equivalent to a 2160 SAT combined score. However, results reported on Parchment indicate a 2100 SAT is prefered over a 32 ACT.
