My dream state is California, but currently reside in Virginia. I want to attend UC Berkley or Stanford, but I also think UVa (the best in-state school for me) is good as well. What are my chances and what are your reccomendations?
You seem like a good candidate for all of these colleges -- or, in the least, as good a candidate as any other.
If you really want more of an edge, try raising your SAT, if you can. Also, it's nice to have some stuff on your application that can give you an edge over everyone else. Because in the final rounds of the admissions process, even perfect test scores are weeded out for Stanford. So, maybe volunteer work or something like that.
Also, keep in mind that schools like Berkeley, Stanford, and Harvard (which I notice you also had on your list) should be considered Reach schools for everyone.
UVa, though, is a good match for you, especially as an in-state applicant.
