The University of Alaska
The University of Alaska was looking to streamline the University's transcript processing and to help promote a college going atmosphere in school districts around the state. The University of Alaska selected Docufide in 2008 and asked high schools throughout the state to integrate Docufide Sender.
Cathy Ewing, Student Services Manager for University of Alaska said that:
Docufide provides all of the technical expertise required for high schools using the service. They create the XML files from transcripts provided by the school. Docufide then provides a turn-key solution that needs very little training, as well as, providing excellent documentation. I had one counselor explain that when she started all she had was the instruction book and was able to handle all transactions without additional training.
Docufide provides PESC XML transcript files to the University of Alaska. We are able to batch process all of the transcripts delivered nightly and automatically route the transcript to the appropriate person. We have a single individual who is able to quickly download and route pdf transcripts and teacher recommendations directly from the Docufide site. UA is made up of three universities and 13 branch campuses statewide.
For me personally, I find Docufide easy to work with, concerned about the quality of their product and the quality of our relationship. Questions get answered quickly and they are able to pull any additional information I may need in a reasonable period of time. Finally, no school has ever asked to leave the program.
