Minnesota e-Transcripts Initiative Gains Momentum with over 20,000 Transcripts Processed

The Minnesota e-Transcript Initiative has processed over 20,000 transcripts since the inception of the initiative at the start of the 2007/2008 school year. The schools currently using the e-Transcript system from Docufide have stated routine supportive comments on the new service.

“Docufide has been an incredible resource to our school and school district. Their product performs extremely well (as well as or better than I expected – after reviewing their marketing documents). Customer service is exceptional (they say what they mean and mean what they say). Initial electronic transmission was planned and implemented flawlessly. Docufide is sincerely one of the best technology/educational support organizations I have had the pleasure to associate in my past 23 years in education.”
–Dr. Randall W. Peterson, Associate Principal, Eastview High School, MN

The service is free to postsecondary institutions and is offered to all public and private high schools and postsecondary institutions throughout Minnesota. The initiative is supported by the Minnesota Office of Higher Education (OHE) in collaboration with the Midwestern Higher Education Compact’s region wide e-Transcript Initiative (MHEC ETI), available to all 12 regional member states.

“We look forward to growing the number of participating schools this year,” said Cheryl Maplethorpe, of the Office of Higher Education. “With tightening budgets, adopting process automation and cost savings programs such as the e-Transcript will help high schools serve students more effectively as they apply to colleges.”

Superintendents of school districts across Minnesota have been invited to participate in the initiative, enabling their high schools to request and process transcripts electronically. The initiative is supported by Docufide’s Secure Transcript service which works with the school’s existing student system and transcript report, allowing schools to be implemented, trained and able to submit transcripts electronically in an hour or less per building. In addition to transcript and associated admissions document delivery to Minnesota institutions, the Secure Transcript™ system also allows for transcripts to be delivered to any college or university or 3rd party destination (NCAA, scholarship funds, etc.) nationwide.
