Parchment is proud to lead the standing ovation for Elon University Registrar Rodney Parks for winning PESC’s Annual Best Practices Award this week in Washington D.C. In collaboration with Parchment, Elon’s submission, titled “Elon Experiences Transcript and Integration to the Academic Transcript” received high praise from the PESC Board of Directors for its holistic approach to improving the student experience with innovative technology while simultaneously preparing for standardization.

“Competency based transcripts, co-curricular transcripts, embedded data, even contextualized grading elements are popping up at schools across the country,” said Parks. “One thing is for certain, this movement is not likely to go away.”

Last year, Mr. Parks participated in Parchment’s first Coffee Talk Series, focusing on Elon’s work with Experiential Transcript. To view that Coffee Talk session on demand, click here.  To read more about PESC’s Annual Best Practices Award, click here.

2015 marks the second consecutive year that a Parchment member school received the annual award from PESC. In 2014, Monterey Sims, Director, Admissions & Evaluation and University of Phoenix won for their holistic approach to improving the student experience with innovating  technologies and approved standards through the University’s Electronic Transcript Acquisition Process (eTAP) submission.

Congratulations again to both Rodney Parks, Monterey Sims and all of the postsecondary institutions that are committed to extending their credentials to empower their learners.
