Facilitated by Andrew Trnaceck, CEO, HES.

The My eQuals environment is undergoing significant and continuous evolution, influenced by the advent of lifelong learning, increasing demand for skills-based education, rapid technological advancements, and, within the Australian context, the recently released Universities Accord.

Panel Discussion: My eQuals Badges & Microcredentials

Facilitated by: Anthony Manahan, Director Student Mobility, HES

The role of badges, and microcredentials, in the learning landscape continues to evolve. The catch cry of ‘interoperability’ is heard loud and clear (and ad nauseam) from a technology perspective, but it also needs to be called out from standards, policy and process perspectives. This panel session will include some of these calls from those in the know.

Professor Josephine Lang
Academic Director, Educational Innovation, Melbourne School of Professional and Continuing Education (MSPACE), The University of Melbourne

Simone Ravaioli
Director Global Ecosystem and Innovation, Parchment

Working with Receivers
Daniel Hibbert, Director, APAC, Parchment

A lot of focus is on learners accessing and sharing their credentials, alongside how institutions are improving operations, learner experience and how to maintain the integrity of their credentials … But who is consuming them? We will discuss how credentials are being viewed, consumed and increasing requirements or consumption considerations from those in industry, admissions and associations who rely on verified documents and data.

Panelists:
Nigel Palmer
Senior Policy Manager – Skills and Education, Business NSW

Verdi Arli
Associate Director Future Students (Admissions), The University of Melbourne

Paula Soon
Associate Director, Admissions,
Pathways and Operations, RMIT University

Building a My eQuals Credit Management Capability
Jay Segeth, Program Director, My eQuals
